Compostella
On June 10, 2015, I arrived in St Jean Pied de Port. Thirty days and 779.5 kilometers later on July 10, 2015, I arrived in Santiago de Compostella. I know I've put more mileage on my feet than that, but I've "earned" my Compostella and certificate of completion of the Camino Frances. There were times along the way when it seemed too much. There were times, a lot of times, that is was more incredible than I imagined. The journey was about courage and kindness, about endurance and flexibility - all of which have been tested and strengthened. Along the Way, I met many people with stories to share, most with wisdom and blessing. I enjoyed experiences and moments that I can treasure forever. What does this Compostella mean to me? It is a blessing, a marker of perseverance and lots of heart. I am truly blessed.
